At Source Construction we have been very fortunate. Our business has grown by leaps and bounds. We have the best customers and we work with honest, decent and good sub-contractors, one and all. Our philosophy is that we have a responsibility (which we happily embrace) to do what we can to better the conditions of those who are not as blessed.

And because all of us are parents, children hold a special place in our hearts. Nothing angers or saddens us more than to see or hear of children suffering. But, while it is true that there is much wrong with the world with live in, there is also much that is right and there are many good people who prove that something can be done about it.

We have chosen some charities that are making a difference.

Established by Greg Kingdon and Sandra Lucas, the Fourd Group is composed of humanitarians who travel around the world to teach human rights, the truth about drugs and The Way to Happiness™, a non-religious moral code. The Fourd Group has given  seminars to thousands of children, college students, military personnel, and police. Their efforts encompass projects in the US, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Thailand, Philippines, Dominican Republic, Morocco, India, Nepal and Morocco, and the list is growing.

It is our sincere hope that you will join us in supporting these wonderful charities, and if not those there are plenty of reputable charities stateside and abroad that can use the back up. Please join us in our efforts to help, and give of your time and your efforts. Together, we can make this world a better place where peace and harmony are the prevailing conditions, and where children are free from hardship and harm.

We would like to extend a very warm thank you to John and Kathy Butler for having been the first to join us in our support of Megan and William Tucker and Charity United. Your generosity and kindness is an illustration of what is best in human kind. We are proud to call you friends.

Six years ago Pat Thomas started collecting neighbors' surplus to take to the local food bank. Shortly afterwards, she went back to school to earn a Masters degree and learn how to organize these efforts. Her graduate project involved using these local fresh resources to address local hunger. The result was Backyard GardenShare.

Harvest season 2016 was GardenShare's startup year in the Salt Lake valley. Neighbors working together were able to collect and distribute 2.5 tons of produce and feed thousands of Utah families. This humanitarian program not only feeds the hungry, but also reduces waste and strengthens neighborhood communities.

Run by Megan and William Tucker,  Charity United helps better the horrendous conditions of refugees from Syria. Megan and William have poured much of their financial resources, time and effort into this project. They have been on the ground working with Syrians who have lost everything. In fact, at the time of this writing, Megan is in Greece overseeing a house (run by Charity United and Team Humanity) where Syrian refugees are finding a safe place, warmth and regular meals for the first time since their desperate escape from their home country.
